Problem
Catch-22 Creative turned to the Giersch Group after the resignation of their office manager of 10 years. After a decade with the same bookkeeper, the thought of training someone new was scary and the transition was a source of anxiety for the owners.
Solution
While the Giersch Group is primarily a remote bookkeeping solution which does not entail having an employee on site, they recognized the need to give this client an extra measure of comfort with this transition. A Giersch Group Client Controller worked onsite at Catch 22’s office two days a week for several weeks during the transition as they took over bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll and sales tax. After the former bookkeeper was gone, they continued to work onsite for over a month until the trust and comfort level with the client was adequate to go to remote, partially at first, and eventually full remote.
Result
The transition was seamless. Working side by side with owners enabled the Giersch Group to learn the subtle things that were important to them after a decade with the same bookkeeper. Establishing trust with the owners also allowed the Giersch Group to suggest improvements to the systems and to take advantage of the efficiencies that come with ever changing technology and a remote work model.
